“I'm living in Papillion, NE, where we built a home. Nebraska truly is the #goodlife
I still work for the same Texas construction defect litigation law firm as a paralegal and also handle the accounting but am 100% remote--my hours are whatever I feel like each day. I'm considered the Legal Goddess at the Funny Farm. But that's another story for a different day. Finally, I am officially a member of the GiGi club--my granddaughter was born December 2022. In April I will run my 12th consecutive Boston Marathon; and assuming I stay healthy, the age group World Championships this September in Sydney, Australia.”

“After 48 years in Seattle, Carol and I decamped for points north (Bow, WA) where we live amongst the cows and sheep near our son and daughter-in-law’s organic vegetable farm. I am "semi-retired with a few remaining clients and projects. Two other adult kids (one near, one far) and four grandchildren keep us as busy as we want to be. Completing a small remodel on this little farmhouse is our current focus and then it will be time for a walkabout.”
—Mark Slosberg

“Doug and I have been married 45 years. We love traveling to so many places, most recently to Spain and Greece. Our boys, Brian and Bradley and their wives, Sarah and Leslie have blessed us with two adorable granddaughters. I have been retired from teaching for 14 years. Loving life and grateful for continued good health!!”

“I was able to retire at 59 and have continued to pursue the enjoyment of my classic cars and their full restoration. This investment includes a 1967 Fastback GT Mustang, 1965 Pontiac GTO, 1957 Chevy Bel Air Sport coupe 2-door, & my dad's 1947 Willys cj2a Jeep. I look at it as I am preserving history while bringing others the delight of seeing the history.”

“After 35 years @ McDonnell Douglas/ Boeing and all the international travel/living in Australia, Finland & Saudi Arabia, and associated local travels like Monaco, Rome, Paris Sharm El Sheik & Bahrain, I was hired away by Pratt & Whitney. My luv for speed was split between aviation & cars. I'm finally closer to home in O'Fallon, closer to my son, daughter, 6 grandkids and a great grandaughter!! Life is good, even with medical challenges. NEVER surrender, NEVER GIVE up!!”

I’m looking forward to a trip to The Galapagos and Peru this spring and to my 35-year-old baby’s wedding this winter! I’ve enjoyed working on the committee and connecting with old friends. “So, I retired as a School Counselor, then un-retired, retired again and un-retired again.  I have done this scenario about three more times.   I working now-only ‘til the end of May.  Excited about seeing everyone next September ! Had the great pleasure at the end of June to watch the Cardinals-Cubs baseball games in London and met up with Old Bonhomme School bestie Howard Litz-who came from Israel. Hope everyone is well and thriving!”
—Linda Schwartzman Sodemann

“All these retired people! I’m still working and probably will be for a long time, but at my own pace, visiting school and libraries, and always writing. No Way Home, a YA thriller, dropped last year. My other books for kids — three in The Gollywhopper Games series; also The Seventh Level — are perfect for readers grades 3-6. For your grandchildren? Just saying… :)”
